DECUS was a Digital Devices Computer User Society, founded within 1961. DECUS was aimed at business client of the Digital Equipment Corporation.
A DECUS U.S. Chapter conducted technical indicator conferences at various U.S. locations, & ran more operations prefer Local User Groups (LUGs) & Favorite Interest Groups. DECUS as well promoted a open exchange of user-developed software system.
Around 1998, Compaq acquired Digital, and DECUS became the Compaq user class action.
Around 2000, a DECUS U.S. Chapter incorporated when a independent user class action Encompass.
